This is the well-known ‘wheel of emotions’, devised by psychologist, Robert Plutchik. You can see that emotions are numerous and complex, and we all feel each of these at some point in the day, week, or month. However, we often lack the vocabulary to communicate exactly how we feel in any given moment.

See if it can help you identify what that emotion is that you’re feeling. First noticing what you feel, then exploring why you feel that way, remembering there is no right or wrong answer. The more in tune you can become with your emotions, and the feelings that spark them, the easier it becomes to identify what you need in that moment.
